Super Shuttle Passenger Killed In Accident On Dulles Access Road

Suvash Darnal, of Nepal, was killed in the Super Shuttle van accident on the Dulles Access road on Monday. He was a grantee for the National Endowment for Democracy.
Monday morning, the van struck a jersey barrier in the eastbound lanes of the Dulles Airport Access Highway. The driver has been charged with reckless driving.
This isn’t the first time that the driver has been charged with reckless driving. His name is Macadolf Hoffman. He is 59-years-old and from Woodbridge, Virginia. If he’s found guilty, this will be his second reckless driving conviction.

NED Mourns Tragic Death of Suvash Darnal

The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is mourning the tragic death of Nepalese democracy and human rights advocate Suvash Darnal, who was killed on August 15th in a highway accident outside Washington, D.C.
“Suvash’s death is a huge loss, for his family most of all and his friends, and also for his country,” said Carl Gershman, President of the National Endowment for Democracy, where Darnal was a Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow in late 2008 and early 2009. “He had so much to give,” added Gershman. “He was such an extraordinarily good and positive person, always with a sparkle and a smile. He is deeply mourned and will be sorely, painfully missed.”

16 Year Old Dies In Skateboarding Accident

Sixteen-year-old Shashwat Sharma was taken off life support Tuesday after suffering head injury while he was skateboarding with friends Saturday. He was not wearing a helmet.
“He was meant to be a thinker in this world,” said his father Robin Sharma.
Shashwat was a kind and thoughtful young man. He was also a top debater and lead his team at Broad Run High School to the State Championships 2 weeks ago.
